Description
Nana Izumi, raised by her grandfather Shinichiro Izumi after her parents vanished, grew up at the Daimovic Base alongside her adoptive brother Kazuya Ryuzaki. Both received training in karate and piloting from Shinichiro.

She sports short, curly blonde hair often tied with red ribbons on both sides, pale pinkish skin, large blue eyes, and a notably short stature. Her typical attire is a blue shirt and shorts.

Nana possesses a childlike innocence and upbeat demeanor but flares up at disrespect. She holds strong convictions about justice, openly opposing unfairness like Sakamori Miwa's prejudice against Kazuya. Initially, jealousy over Kazuya's affections for Erika fueled resentment, leading Nana to attempt a suicidal mission when feeling unloved. Kazuya's rescue and affirmation of his brotherly love helped her reconcile these feelings. She accepted his romantic relationship with Erika, later supporting their union and encouraging Kazuya during emotional struggles.

Her relationship with Kazuya is central. A childhood crush intensified after his accident at age 14. Her jealousy over Erika triggered the runaway attempt. After resolving her feelings, she transitioned into a supportive role, encouraging his drumming to cope with separation from Erika. With Kyoshiro Yuzuki, she shares a friendship marked by frequent bickering over his jokes and teasing of Kazuya. Despite disagreements, they cooperate effectively as co-pilots of the Galva FX-II and collaborate on critical missions, like freeing Kazuya from Miwa's imprisonment.

Her skills include proficiency with firearms, regularly carrying a rifle. She practices karate, though her ability is inferior to Kazuya's, demonstrated when he easily defeated her. She is also a capable pilot, operating the Galva solo when Kyoshiro is unavailable.

Trivia notes indicate a visual resemblance to Candy from *Candy Candy*. Some fans support a romantic pairing between her and Kyoshiro. Her character shares traits with Hiyoshi from *Voltes V*, including technical prowess (Hiyoshi in robotics, Nana in aviation), a close bond with a robot (Cairo for Nana), and using familial honorifics like "onii-chan" for Kazuya.

Throughout the series, Nana evolves from a jealous, impulsive teenager into a more mature individual prioritizing others' happiness and mission objectives. She remains an integral part of the Daimovic team, balancing combat duties with emotional support for Kazuya and Erika.
