Yōko Kuri

Yōko Kuri is a Japanese voice actress from Tokyo who was primarily active from the 1960s through the 1990s. Her real name is Toyoko Murata, and she is a graduate of Tokyo Metropolitan Fuji High School. She began her voice acting career by providing the Japanese dub voice for the lead role of Velvet in the American television series Run Chess, which aired on NHK.

During her career, Kuri was known for her versatility, portraying a wide range of characters including young girls, adult women, and young boys. She was particularly active in the 1970s. Her body of work includes numerous major anime series from that era. Her voice roles include Kyoko Yoshizawa in Dokonjo Gaeru (known in the search results as Merry Frog Pongichi), the character Hutch in Konchu Monogatari Shin Minashigo Hutch (listed as Hachi in Insect Story Bee Hachi), and Sumire Hoshino, also known as Parman No. 3, in the series Perman. She also voiced Marie in Ogon Bat (Golden Bat), a role for which she was the second-generation voice actress.
