Description
Erik, a human bearing the title of yuusha or "hero," commands an adventuring party within a fantasy realm. He possesses short black hair and a distinctive cross-shaped scar etched across his left cheek. His prominence begins when encountering Letty, a young red dragon; Erik scoffs at Letty’s draconic identity, declaring anyone could make such a claim, and brusquely commands his party to attack. This assault is thwarted by Dearia, an elf architect and real estate agent, who single-handedly defeats Erik and his entire group, rescuing Letty.

Erik’s party resurfaces as recurring comedic antagonists for Letty, persistently pursuing him despite repeated, crushing defeats. They misinterpret Letty’s timid demeanor, chasing his accidental reputation as the dreaded "Flame Dragon King." Each encounter ends with their demise or humiliation, though priestly resurrection magic returns them to life, exploiting the setting’s impermanent death. Their relentless blunders amplify exaggerated legends of Letty’s power through escalating gossip.

Though labeled heroes, Erik’s group embodies "Designated Heroes," prioritizing fame and wealth over virtue. Their actions include stalking, robbery, and unprovoked violence—exemplified by their obsessive pursuit of Nell, a runaway human princess accompanying Letty. Dearia condemns heroes like Erik’s party as murderers disguising robbery, treason, and indiscriminate brutality beneath a hollow banner of justice.
