Description
Ollie Keeawani operates as the pilot of the Ultra Eagle, the Eagle Riders' primary aircraft. He manages a yacht harbor where the Ultra Eagle hides submerged during downtime. This harbor duty often keeps him stationed at the base and away from ground missions, though he proves a capable combatant when participating directly.

Originating from a small fishing village, he is characterized as less sophisticated than his teammates but notably open-hearted. This background grants him extensive maritime knowledge, making him the team's most skilled pilot, especially adept at specialized underwater maneuvers. He is the only member with known living family: his father and a younger brother.

He maintains a generally laid-back and optimistic demeanor, balancing more cynical teammates, but possesses a capacity for arrogance and a violent temper when provoked. Prone to boredom-induced naps during inactivity, this habit has caused issues like missing critical communications during emergencies. He teases the youngest member, Mickey Dugan, and occasionally spends off-duty time with Joe Thax at racing events.

Early in his tenure, he showed reluctance about the team's conflict, preferring to stay at the harbor unless explicitly ordered by Dr. Thaddeus Keane, including vocal complaints about limited combat roles. However, he never seriously considered leaving, recognizing the team's desire for him to remain despite perceived shortcomings.

His combat approach emphasizes physical strength, overpowering opponents through brute force like grappling enemy ships or body-slamming adversaries. While favoring hand-to-hand combat, he uses weapons such as a harpoon gun or specialized tools like the Gripper when necessary. His piloting skills extend to instructing teammates, providing Joe Thax with additional training after Joe successfully piloted the Ultra Eagle solo.
