TV-Series
Description
Seki-sensei is the homeroom teacher at Misora Elementary School for multiple school years, initially instructing Doremi Harukaze, Hazuki Fujiwara, Aiko Senoo, and Onpu Segawa. Later, her class includes Doremi alongside Momoko Asuka and Hana Makihatayama after other students depart or graduate.
Tall and slender with tan skin, she has dark purple hair styled in a hime cut, matching purple eyes, and noticeable dark red lipstick. Her standard attire consists of a black shirt beneath a purple blazer, a purple pencil skirt, and black high heels.
She presents a strict, honest, and direct personality, firmly enforcing school rules with a short temper during disruptions, creating an intimidating impression. Underneath this stern exterior, she exhibits genuine kindness, patience, and concern for students' emotional and physical well-being, regularly checking on them and maintaining friendliness outside disciplinary moments. Her adventurous side emerges through her ability to drive a motorcycle.
Her backstory includes attending Karen Girls’ Academy in middle school. A pivotal childhood event—losing her father young—initially prevented her from becoming a homeroom teacher at a private school, influencing her career path.
Throughout the series, she interacts with students beyond the main cast, addressing Reika Tamaki’s behavioral issues like an incident where Tamaki displayed an expensive French brassiere at school. She later counsels Tamaki’s father on balancing parental affection with responsibility. She remains a constant presence through the students' elementary education, overseeing their graduation ceremony in the final season.
In the light novel sequel *Ojamajo Doremi 16*, she reappears during a reunion of former students. Later in the novels, she teaches Pop Harukaze, Doremi's younger sister, extending her connection to the Harukaze family.
