Description
Show Zama, a Japanese motocross enthusiast from Tokyo, was mysteriously transported to the fantasy dimension Byston Well during a motorcycle ride, arriving before others like Atsuko. He had a strained relationship with his estranged parents, one potentially American, who declared him dead after his disappearance and later rejected him as an imposter during his brief Earth return.
Initially piloting the lavender Aura Battler Dunbine for warlord Drake Luft, he defected to Nie Given's resistance aboard the airship Zelana after discovering Luft's conquest ambitions through fellow Upper Earth native Marvel Frozen from Texas. His competitive nature, particularly against female pilots, evolved into a protective dedication towards his comrades and Byston Well's people.
His aura power, life-energy fueling the mecha, intensified through combat nearing infinite levels, but inversely weakened his control. Manifesting as a light-green battle aura, it enabled techniques like the high-speed "Flash Step." After the Dunbine's severe damage, Queen Ceila Lapana of Na granted him the advanced Billbine, signifying his rising status.
Romantic entanglements complicated his journey: mutual feelings with Marvel Frozen remained unfulfilled due to war; accidentally gifting Polopoise flowers to Riml Luft was misinterpreted as a marriage proposal under Byston Well custom; he remained unaware of the affections of his steadfast fairy cockpit companion, Cham Huau.
When Byston Well's inhabitants and mecha were expelled to "Upper Earth" (Earth), aura technology gained devastating, nuclear-level potency. Show fought in pivotal battles against former allies like Todd Guinness; their final confrontation ended with Todd accepting death as "a nice dream," echoing their first meeting. Show adopted the identity "Show Zama is dead" to shield his parents from legal consequences for his Earth actions.
The final battle culminated in a mutual kill between Show and rival Burn Bunnings (the Black Knight), both stabbing each other as their mecha exploded. This sacrifice, alongside nearly all resistance members' deaths, secured peace. His soul, like other fallen characters, was implied to return to Byston Well for reincarnation, as narrated by sole survivor Cham Huau.
