Riml Luft, daughter of regional overlord Drake Luft and his wife Louser (or Luuza), resides in her father's castle as a member of the ruling Luft family. She consistently opposes Drake's military campaigns and expansionist ambitions across Byston Well. While maintaining care for her father personally, she actively works against his conquests, developing sympathies for Nie Given's resistance movement.

Her character arc involves repeated attempts to escape her family's control and join Nie Given's forces, resulting in multiple recaptures by Drake's forces. Despite inherent distrust from resistance members due to her lineage, she persists and eventually defects permanently to Nie's group. Following her defection, she participates in combat operations, proving herself as a capable though underutilized Aura Battler pilot.

A central aspect of her narrative is her romantic relationship with resistance leader Nie Given, creating a fraught dynamic due to their opposing factions. This tension, stemming from her family ties, leads to conflict, including instances where Nie administers corporal punishment during her earlier captivity. Riml demonstrates perceptiveness regarding her mother Louser's active scheming against both Drake and herself, displaying no affection towards her mother. Conversely, she retains some concern for her father despite opposing his actions.

Her story concludes tragically during the final battle when she is killed by her mother, Louser, in an act of betrayal. Nie Given subsequently avenges her death by killing Louser.
