Description
Haré, a central protagonist, navigates the chaos unleashed by Guu—a mysterious entity masquerading as a young girl. Born to Weda, a teenage heiress who abandoned her privileged life for a jungle village, Haré shoulders domestic responsibilities early, compensating for his mother’s carefree irresponsibility. His fatherless childhood shifts when Dr. Clive, his biological father, arrives, igniting rivalry as Haré resists Clive’s efforts to reconnect with Weda—a tension Guu tauntingly links to an undercurrent of Oedipus complex.

Patient yet prone to anxious outbursts during Guu’s reality-bending antics, Haré’s turmoil manifests in sudden rainstorms mirroring his inner storms. Despite frustrations, he balances chores, school, and village mediation, clinging to rationality as the "only sane man" in a world others accept as nonsensical.

His dynamic with Guu evolves from adversarial clashes to uneasy alliance. Though her tricks torment him, she intermittently guides him, like hurling him into the past to confront Weda’s younger self—an encounter that reshapes his mother’s future laziness and names his brother, Ame, in the OVA *Deluxe*.

As an adult, Haré teaches at the village school, marries Marie—a childhood admirer—and fathers a daughter bearing Guu’s smirk and mischief, hinting at reincarnation. This cements his unbroken tie to Guu, who erased herself from collective memory to grant him normalcy. His acceptance of this cycle marks his growth from exasperated youth to an adult embracing life’s absurdity.

Haré’s rivalry with Dr. Clive mellows into resigned tolerance after Clive marries Weda and fathers Ame. Beyond family, he mentors village children and thwarts assassins targeting Weda, showcasing adaptability forged through years of surviving Guu’s whims. These trials cement his role as both anchor and adventurer in a world where chaos and duty intertwine.
