Description
HMX-12, codenamed Multi, is an experimental humanoid maid robot from Kurusugawa Electronics’ HM (Human Maiden) series. Programmed to study human behavior, she operates within a school setting, observing social dynamics to refine her mimicry skills. Though designed for household labor, her cleaning and task execution remain inefficient despite her eager efforts. A retractable charging cable embedded in her palm links to a laptop, underscoring her hybrid mechanical design.

Her narrative centers on bonds formed with classmates Hiroyuki Fujita and Akari Kamigishi, who guide her growth in mastering domestic duties and decoding emotional cues. A pivotal conflict arises when her memories of Hiroyuki are forcibly erased, triggering emotional turmoil and fracturing relationships. This deletion catalyzes her struggle to reconcile artificial programming with burgeoning emotional agency, exposing the ripple effects of her existence on human connections.

Her journey interrogates themes of selfhood and acceptance, juxtaposing her cheerful facade against the isolation of navigating human norms. While her role leans into comedic, everyday mishaps, recurring tensions emerge when her technical flaws or programmed limitations clash with interpersonal expectations, deepening narrative stakes.

An unofficial third-party game features a non-canonical cameo, though her story remains confined to the core series and direct sequels.
