Description
Pepero, a determined boy from an impoverished Andean village, lives with his mother after his father Carlos departed years prior to seek El Dorado, a fabled golden city promising salvation from hardship. When a river’s shimmer reveals the reflection of a golden condor, Pepero interprets it as a sign of his father’s survival, spurring him to embark on a quest. His white horn-shaped necklace—a twin to Carlos’—becomes a crucial emblem of their bond, later unveiling his lineage.

Guided sporadically by the golden condor, Pepero journeys through treacherous terrain, forging alliances with companions: Titicaca, a seasoned elder; Kayna, a mysterious amnesiac girl hiding royal roots; Aztec, a resourceful thief aiding his ailing mother; and Chuchu, a circus performer safeguarding his sister. A wild white horse, tamed by Pepero’s resolve, gallops to his whistle as a steadfast ally.

Their path brims with trials—rescuing Titicaca from a collapsing cave, deciphering labyrinthine riddles, outwitting a deceitful prophet masquerading as a mountain deity, and evading a maze-entrapping foe. Fragmented maps lead Pepero to El Dorado, where he uncovers Carlos imprisoned, falsely accused of stealing imperial jewels. Unmasking a corrupt police official’s conspiracy, Pepero clears his father’s name.

Within El Dorado’s gilded walls, Kayna regains memories of her identity as a princess, her amnesia stemming from a past assassination plot. Pepero foils a renewed threat against her, cementing their trust. Victorious, he and Carlos return home, redistributing El Dorado’s riches to revive their village. Through peril and perseverance, Pepero evolves from a resolute youth into a leader guided by justice, loyalty, and ingenuity—his tale a testament to courage amid adversity.
