Description
Kei Enjoji, the secret son of a yakuza patriarch and a geisha who escaped the underworld to shield him, discovered his lineage at seventeen through a final letter from his dying mother. Raised in Tokyo without knowledge of his father’s identity, he cultivated a fierce rejection of yakuza culture, resisting its pull even as his heritage entangled him with the Sagano clan.

His life intertwined with Ranmaru Samejima in middle school through a relentless pursuit that softened into a profound romance. A yakuza-orchestrated attack left Ranmaru gravely injured, compelling Kei to pledge himself as Ranmaru’s “left arm and left leg” during recovery. Their bond solidified into cohabitation and symbolic marriage, marked by a ring Kei gifted—a testament to their defiance against adversity.

Kai Sagano, Kei’s half-brother and the yakuza family’s heir, clashed with him over legacy and unspoken jealousy toward Ranmaru. Though their rivalry simmered with violence and tension, Kei forged a guarded kinship with Kai, recognizing shared blood without embracing the criminal world. Kai’s eventual growth and acceptance eased hostilities, though Kei maintained cautious vigilance around his brother’s volatile tendencies.

A fiery extrovert, Kei paired boisterous declarations of love for the stoic Ranmaru with mischievous humor and unshakable loyalty. His part-time host bar work and presidency of the tea ceremony club—a deliberate contrast to Ranmaru’s kendo discipline—highlighted his flair for juxtaposing tradition with rebellion. Bold actions often led him into chaotic scenarios, yet his devotion to protecting loved ones anchored him through clashes with yakuza forces and emotional turmoil.

From carefree student to resolute partner, Kei’s transformative journey centered on shielding his chosen family, balancing inherited shadows with a refusal to let bloodline dictate destiny. His story carved a path of loyalty forged not by obligation, but by love’s unyielding resolve.
