Description
Hina Mitsurugi is a teenage girl living in Neo Hong Kong who immerses herself in fighting games, favoring the character Reimy-Hart, and enjoys watching judo matches. An earthquake-like event violently transports her to a parallel world embroiled in conflict, where factions clash using Feng Shui-powered giant robots known as Devil Dragons. This upheaval leads to her recruitment as one of the three essential pilots needed to operate the formidable mecha Dangaizer 3.
She commands Dangaizer 3 alongside Cindy Shahani, characterized by arrogance, and the more agreeable Reika Fou. Synchronization between all three pilots is critical for the mecha's operation. Her role as a pilot pits her against the Goma Corporation, an organization actively working to prevent Dangaizer's awakening. Goma deploys its own warriors, including Sapphire, representing fire, and Deene, representing wind.
Central to her existence is her link to Eileen, also identified as Ilene. Eileen is an artificial being crafted by the Goma Corporation through experimentation, possessing an unexplained yet striking physical resemblance to Hina. Eileen harbors intense hatred towards the "Kaisers" (the pilots) and bears the designation "Angel of Destruction," suggesting a deeper, unexplored connection between the two. Eileen was previously maintained in an artificial sleep state within a containment unit in Neo Hong Kong before being deployed against Dangaizer.
Her background includes a family tie to Kōichirō Mitsurugi. The unresolved OVA series leaves her ultimate destiny, the full explanation of her connection to Eileen, and the resolution of the conflict with Goma unexplored.
