Description
Lynn Minmay entered the world on October 10, 1993, in Yokohama, Japan's Chinatown district. Her father, Lynn Paochun, hailed from China, while her mother, Shigeyo, was Japanese. Middle school saw her taking lessons in singing, dancing, and acting. Chasing stardom, she moved to South Ataria Island, residing with her uncle Lynn Shaochin and aunt Lynn Feichun while waitressing at their restaurant, Nyan-Nyan.

Amid the Zentradi invasion on February 7, 2009, she discovered U.N. Spacy pilot Hikaru Ichijyo after his Valkyrie crashed near her home. Following Roy Focker’s intervention and a foiled escape, Minmay and Hikaru became trapped aboard the SDF-1 Macross when an accidental space fold hurled it near Pluto. Confined within the ship, she sang "Cinderella" to sustain hope. After rescue, she revived her uncle’s restaurant on the Macross to bolster civilian spirits. Winning the Miss Macross Contest catapulted her to fame as an idol and actress.

Her celebrity strained ties with Hikaru, who harbored feelings for her—exacerbated by her self-centered tendencies and her cousin (or brother in some adaptations), Lynn Kaifun, acting as her manager. During Space War I, her songs—"My Boyfriend is a Pilot," "Little White Dragon," and "Do You Remember Love?"—confused and pacified the Zentradi, aiding the war’s end. Fame’s weight left her isolated and weary. Post-war, she abandoned stardom to reconnect with Hikaru, but diverging paths and his bond with Misa Hayase rendered romance impossible. She accepted their friendship and his relationship with Misa.

In 2012, she performed a farewell concert on Earth, portrayed in "Flash Back 2012." There, she reflected on her life while playing "Angel's Paints" on piano in an empty stadium, embodying solitude and acceptance. She then boarded the colonization ship SDF-2 Megaroad-01, captained by Misa Hayase and piloted by Hikaru Ichijyo. The vessel launched toward the Milky Way’s center, vanishing in July 2016, sealing her legendary status.

Minmay evolved from a bright, optimistic teen to a fame-weary icon. Resilient in adversity, she often overlooked others’ emotions due to self-centeredness. Her legacy endured for decades across the Macross universe, inspiring singers like Basara Nekki in "Macross 7" and Freyja Wion in "Macross Delta." Her songs persisted as cultural landmarks, referenced in events like the Miss Macross Frontier competition. She stood approximately 158 cm tall, weighed 47 kg, and measured 80-58-87 cm.

The film "Macross: Do You Remember Love?" altered her portrayal: an established idol when meeting Hikaru, she saw him as an escape from fame before he chose Misa. The "Flash Back 2012" OVA closed her arc, merging her departure with the Megaroad-01’s launch and her wave goodbye to her younger self.
