Description
Kōji Harada, a bespectacled third-grader, obsesses over UFOs, aliens, and the occult, his bookish nature fueling relentless investigations into the unexplained. During a summer camp trip, he and classmates discover an injured dog—later exposed as Pochi Rickman, a disguised alien—catapulting them into a cosmic journey. On the moon, Kōji befriends Ink, an alien girl whose arms extend from her hair, and her father Rubin, itinerant repairmen running a junk shop. Their bond underscores Kōji’s ease with unconventional connections, while his misidentification of a supernova as a “star birth” reveals his fervor for astronomy, undeterred by knowledge gaps.

His expertise in alien lore and mechanics becomes vital as the group navigates crises using Rubin’s patchwork rocket and scavenged tech. Kōji deciphers alien gadgets like translator microbes and gravity-adjusting pendants, channeling his academic passions into practical solutions. Confronting interstellar dangers and collaborating with diverse extraterrestrial beings, he evolves from a theory-focused observer to a hands-on problem-solver. Through alliances with Ink and exposure to alien societies, Kōji bridges human inquisitiveness with cosmic realities, his worldview expanding as he balances curiosity with newfound resilience.
