Description
The Ohayashi Aliens are a pair of puppet-like robots featuring zippers that open and close their mouths. Their design incorporates elements of "ohayashi," traditional Japanese festival music, reflected visually and in their signature performance. They debut in the 15th episode of Otasukeman.
Summoned by Sekovitchi before battles with Otasukeman, they mockingly cheer on the Ojamaman. They perform a specific song with the lyrics: "Yatte miro yatte miro yatte miro! Mudada to omoukedo yatte miro, chakku!" This roughly translates to "Dare to do it, dare to do it, dare to do it! I think it’s kinda useless but dare to do it, zip!"
During the Otasukeman series, fans had opportunities to voice the Ohayashi Aliens and perform their song. This participatory element continued in the Time Bokan Royal Revival OVA, where they were voiced by musician Hiroto Komoto and manga artist Kahiro Okuya, both self-proclaimed Sekovitchi fans.
Beyond Otasukeman, the Ohayashi Aliens appeared in Yattodetaman’s 41st episode, "It’s the Sixth Anniversary! The Stage Relay!" and in the 7th episode of the 2008 Yatterman series.
