Movie
Description
Papamametchi stands tall and slender with pale cream skin and dark blue ears, evolving from an earlier white-skinned design to include updated eye details featuring white circular reflections. He dons a lab coat with a red tie for scientific work at Mamemame Laboratory, where he frequently invents devices, and switches to a blue sweater vest with gray pants during casual moments. His protective, family-oriented nature balances a serious demeanor with occasional humor and a softer side, such as being moved to tears by heartfelt gestures. He resides with his wife Mamametchi and their children Mametchi and Chamametchi.

In *Tamagotchi: The Movie*, he welcomes the human girl Tanpopo to Tamagotchi Planet and oversees a rocket’s construction for her return. When the planet falls ill due to Sunnytchi’s disappearance, he coordinates a cure’s development. After discovering Mametchi took the rocket to deliver the medicine, he initially demands their return but relents upon learning Mametchi’s plan to find Sunnytchi. He later facilitates Tanpopo’s departure using Cometchi.

Throughout the *Tamagotchi!* anime, episodes delve into his background and relationships. "The Adventures of Young Papamametchi" reveals his explorer past during a fishing trip with Mametchi, which resurfaces in "Man of the Sea! Captain Gotchi Arrives" when he reunites with former partner Captain Gotchi. "A Puzzling Love Message in a Bottle" exposes a personal love letter to Mamametchi, causing him discomfort. His dedication faces tests in "Piko Piko Copy! Papamametchi" when malfunctioning work clones create chaos he resolves, and during the "Eggification" curse arc, where he searches tirelessly for a cure before succumbing to the curse himself after guiding Mametchi to a solution—later reverting via familial bonds. In "Mama! Lost Child Fuwamokotchi," he assists Mametchi during a storm by safely discharging static electricity with a light bulb.

Across games, he evolves from characters like Mametchi upon marriage in *Tamagotchi Connection Version 5*. Later titles like *Tamagotchi m!x* and *On* feature him in family photos if the player’s Tamagotchi marries a Mametchi variant, and he appears as an NPC at Mamemame Laboratory in *Tamagotchi Town*.

In *Tamagotchi: Happiest Story in the Universe!*, he celebrates Hapihapitchi’s birth and combats a magical paper tornado threatening Celebria. Engulfed by the tornado and turned into paper, he reverts to normal once the threat ends.
