Description
Kuchipatchi debuted as a male adult-stage character in the original Tamagotchi series. He possesses a round, green, jelly bean-shaped body, large lips, beady eyes, stubby limbs, and light green cheeks. His name derives from the Japanese word "kuchi," meaning "mouth" or "lips," highlighting this prominent feature.

He exhibits a carefree, gentle, and mild-mannered personality, often appearing lazy yet fundamentally kind-hearted and romantic. Kuchipatchi has a passionate love for food, especially Tama-Donuts, and enjoys napping, relaxing in hot springs, and daydreaming. He occasionally cheats during games and frequently ends sentences with "-datchi" or "-tchi." A defining ability is his rubber-like flexibility, allowing him to stretch extensively or bounce uncontrollably. Others exploit this trait in emergencies, manipulating his form into trampolines or slides for rescue.

A core member of the franchise's main trio alongside Mametchi and Memetchi, their friendships date back to childhood. Kuchipatchi belongs to the Kuchi family as the older brother of the Chibipatchi twins. During the 2007 animated film, he participated in a mission to save Tamagotchi Planet. When Mametchi's sibling egg was trapped high up, KuroMametchi stretched Kuchipatchi into a trampoline to cushion the fall of Mametchi, a human girl named Tanpopo, and the egg. Later, he joined a space expedition to find the missing sun entity, Sunnytchi. When their craft drifted toward a perceived black hole—revealed to be the sleeping Blackholetchi—Kuchipatchi aided vocal efforts to awaken it after communication systems failed.

He relocated to Dream Town with Mametchi and Memetchi to study cooking, reflecting his culinary interests. Official profiles often describe his intellectual and athletic capabilities as average, while consistently noting his patience and resilience. Documented appearances beyond the main anime series are limited to the 2007 film.
