Description
Pirica Usui is the younger sister of Horokeu Usui, both Ainu from Hokkaidō, Japan. Born February 9, 1987, she shares Horokeu's goal of protecting the koropokkuru, tiny nature spirits, which motivates his ambition to create vast butterbur fields. When Horokeu left home to become Shaman King, Pirica followed him to Tokyo to support his journey.

Standing at a similar height to her brother, Pirica has long turquoise or light blue hair extending below her hips. She typically wears a pink jacket with traditional Ainu patterns, a white headband featuring tribal symbols, a black mini-skirt adorned with white Ainu markings, and pink snow boots. Casually, she favors low-cut tank tops, mini shorts, and sandals.

Pirica blends toughness with emotional sensitivity. Often stern with Horokeu, she pushes him rigorously to achieve his potential, a role similar to Anna Kyoyama's training of Yoh Asakura. Despite her demanding approach, she deeply cares for her brother's well-being and dedicates herself to his progress throughout the Shaman Fight tournament. Her emotional nature makes her prone to sudden outbursts or tears. Highly intelligent, she masters Ainu culinary techniques, traditional crafts, and rituals, handcrafting all of Horokeu's clothing and practical items like his prayer sticks.

During the Shaman Fight's first round, Pirica intervened after Horokeu's defeat by Yoh Asakura, dragging him away from a celebration to resume training. She attended the tournament's opening ceremony and subsequent matches, consistently supporting him. When Tao Ren was captured, she stayed at an inn while Horokeu traveled to China, later reuniting to gift him an ikupasuy—a carved prayer stick serving as the medium for his Over Soul abilities.

As the tournament progressed, Pirica grew concerned for Horokeu's safety and summoned their father, Lycan Usui, for assistance. Though Lycan departed quickly after resolving a crisis, Pirica continued her support. When participants were transported to Mu, she stayed behind with family allies, joining a beach gathering where she helped prepare food, broiling a tuna caught by her father. She later appeared aboard the Soul Train with Lycan, her guardian spirit Torara, and others to aid Horokeu.

Pirica possesses a guardian ghost, Torara, a water-controlling spirit who saved her from drowning in childhood. Torara remains shy and avoids strangers, limiting his official appearances. Pirica never competed as a shaman, but her rigorous training methods for Horokeu suggest latent capability had she pursued combat.

In her story's conclusion, Pirica began dating an unspecified partner, leaving Horokeu to manage their family's farm work alone. Her name, "Pirica," derives from the Ainu word "pirka," meaning "pretty" or "beautiful."
