Description
Bell Zephyr is a powerful Demon Lord modeled after Beelzebub, the "Queen of the Fly." She manifests as a teenage girl typically wearing a poncho and school uniform, with gray shoulder-length hair and yellow eyes. A central antagonist, her primary objective is forcibly breaching the World Barrier—an invisible protective field around Earth—to enable other Demon Lords to invade the human world. This event occurs in April 200X, marking a significant escalation in the conflict between the Emulators and the Night Wizards.
She specifically targets Elis Shiho, a Night Wizard possessing the Jewel of Kindness. Bell Zephyr orchestrates attacks through Emulators and subordinate Demon Lords like RaRa Mu and Jō ga to retrieve the seven Jewels of Virtue linked to Elis's bracelet. These Jewels are fragments of the destruction god Shaimal's power; collecting them risks awakening Shaimal within Elis. Bell Zephyr employs strategic cunning, such as disguise and manipulation, though her deeper motives for seeking the Jewels remain ambiguous.
Demon Lords like Bell Zephyr originate from Rikai, a parallel "reverse world" dimension. They draw inspiration from the 72 demons of The Lesser Key of Solomon and use moe-themed personas to attract human followers. Their near-immortal nature allows regeneration after defeat, returning as shadows. While primarily an antagonist, she temporarily aligns with the Night Wizards against a greater threat, demonstrating a pragmatic approach.
The World Barrier's weakening, partly due to events like the 1986 "Third Angel's Trumpet Incident," facilitates her incursions. This interdimensional conflict involves entities like the Underworld Demons (冥魔). Her character design and tactics align with the RPG's theme of blending gothic horror with contemporary aesthetics, emphasizing her corruptive influence within the human realm.
