Description
Tokagerō, a former human bandit leader from 600 years past, emerged from the crushing poverty of a famine-stricken era. His survival hinged on a harrowing act—consuming his deceased mother’s remains—which cemented his self-image as a villain, though his lingering sensitivity and yearning for maternal warmth clashed with this identity. He forged the agile "Tokage Kenpō" combat style and plagued the land with his marauders until slain by the samurai Amidamaru.

Bound to the mortal realm by unresolved rage, Tokagerō’s spirit manifested a lizard-green visage and pursued vengeance against Amidamaru in modern times. Possessing Umemiya Ryunosuke, he kidnapped Oyamada Manta and stole Harusame to bait his rival. Amidamaru shattered the sword to save Ryunosuke, spurring Tokagerō to target Asakura Yoh’s body. Yet, he halted mid-possession, confronting his incapacity for violence and unmasking latent compassion.

Denied transcendence, Tokagerō became Ryunosuke’s guardian spirit, joining the Shaman Fight. Under Kyōyama Anna’s tutelage, he ascended to Seirei-class, channeling the Yamata no Orochi myth in battle. This evolution granted Ryunosuke advanced Over Souls: the serpentine motorcycle "Yamata no Orochi Go" and the "Sashimi Knife of Susanoro," blending culinary flair with combat prowess.

His arsenal included prehensile tendrils for immobilization, armored defenses, and the transport-focused "Big Thumb Over Soul." Signature techniques like "Hell Dragon Scarlet Lizard" and "Ame no Murakumo" harnessed spectral speed and mythic motifs. Integration with shinboku wood amplified his spiritual synergy.

Initially antagonistic, Tokagerō’s journey pivoted on loyalty to Ryunosuke and reconciling his non-malignant core. Their bond transcended warfare, mirroring mutual quests for purpose. Post-Shaman Fight, he solidified his role as Ryunosuke’s ally, aiding his leadership at Funbari Onsen’s kitchen—a testament to peace reclaimed.

Personal details: born November 14, 1374; AB blood type; died at 35. His design and arc echoed Yamata no Orochi lore and Shinto deity Susanoo, though he remains a singular spirit, distinct from the deity.
