Mauro Castro, born Mauro Castro Sales on August 30, 1961, in Santos, São Paulo, is a highly accomplished Brazilian actor, voice actor, and musician. He began his career in dubbing in 1999 and has since become a prominent and versatile figure in the industry, lending his voice to a vast array of characters in anime, live-action series, and films. Beyond voice acting, he is also a locutor, composer, and singer.
Castro's extensive anime filmography showcases his remarkable range. He is the voice of the Norse god Odin in the popular series Record of Ragnarok. He has taken on roles in different versions of Shaman King, voicing the lizard-like warrior Tokagerō in both the 2001 and 2021 adaptations, as well as the spirit Djinn and Gororo in the newer series.
