Description
Teruko Amano, who becomes Teruko Reiheit after marriage, practices as a professional curse master. Her specialty is Ushi no Koku Mairi, a ritual demanding precise conditions: execution during the ox hour and the use of a straw doll embedded with the target's hair. Her technique involves driving a nail through the doll to inflict harm, a process vulnerable to failure if witnessed. Initially employed by Oyamada Mansumi alongside Hans Reiheit, she accepts a mission to protect Hans during an assault on Tokyo, lured by substantial payment.

Her spiritual powers emerged unexpectedly through tragedy. Multiple suicide attempts, stemming from failed relationships, awakened her as a shaman. During one such attempt, she inadvertently caused the death of a high school girl nicknamed The Loafers. This spirit became Teruko's guardian ghost. Unbeknownst to Teruko, The Loafers secretly softened the curses, rendering victims unconscious instead of causing death due to her own aversion to violence.

The Tokyo assault proves fatal for Teruko. Her curse against Hao Asakura rebounds, killing her. Following a mass revival of casualties, she awakens on a beach where Hans proposes marriage. She accepts, forming a couple. This union marks a pivotal shift, prompting her to abandon her curse-based profession.

Post-marriage, Teruko retires from curse mastery. She joins the X-Laws organization, engaging in charitable work within war-torn regions. Later, she participates in the Flower of Maize tournament as a member of Team Marcos. Her abilities transform, focusing on pacification and fostering friendship; channeling The Loafers' spirit, she imparts positive emotions to targets rather than harm.

In the sequel Marcos, sensing Hans is endangered in Mexico, Teruko travels there. She confronts and pacifies the spirit Santa Muerte, saving Hans and showcasing her evolved use of spiritual power. Satisfied Teruko has found happiness, The Loafers subsequently moves on to the afterlife. Teruko takes on part-time jobs to support herself while Hans continues traveling for work.

Her appearance features light gray hair. Early on, she wears a headband with lit tapers and white robes, later shifting to casual clothing after marriage. She consistently carries straw dolls, nails, and stakes as her ritual tools.
