TV-Series
Description
Venis holds the position of head maid and personal attendant to Shinra Kuonji in the Kuonji household. She originated from an impoverished European city, losing her parents early and being adopted by a relative who ran a restaurant. During this time, she learned cooking, self-defense for protection, and independently studied mathematics while living on the streets. After the restaurant closed, the Colonel discovered her culinary skills and brought her to the Kuonji estate. Shinra’s acknowledgment of her abilities granted her renewed purpose.
Her name causes frequent misunderstandings due to its phonetic similarity to the Japanese word for "penis," provoking significant irritation, especially when Ren and Mihato Uesugi unintentionally mock it upon arrival. To prevent laughter, Ren dubs her "Benikō." Venis initially displays hostility toward Ren, rigorously overseeing his probation as a new servant and demanding strict discipline and work ethic.
Professionally, Venis manages meals, household affairs, and staff alongside the Colonel. She exhibits fierce loyalty to Shinra, valuing her approval above all and experiencing physical attraction through Shinra’s affectionate touches, such as during shared baths. This devotion fuels protectiveness, making her view newcomers like Ren as rivals for Shinra’s attention.
Her perspective shifts during a joint kidnapping where Ren endures harm to shield her, revealing his integrity and dedication. Though she retains a quick temper—evident when Ren accidentally intrudes on her undressing—her underlying respect for him grows. Simultaneously, she becomes an object of admiration for Chiharu Kiyohara due to her support of Ren, deflecting his affections by hinting at her own potential interest in Ren.
Physically, Venis has red hair, purple eyes, and stands 157 cm tall with measurements of 85-54-84 cm. Her personality blends a volatile temper with profound loyalty, underpinned by street-forged resilience and combat skills. While prone to outbursts, her commitment to the Kuonji family and gradual acceptance of Ren define her role in the household.
