Description
Hinata Hyuga, eldest daughter and initial heiress of the Hyuga clan's main branch, faced intense pressure from her father Hiashi. He deemed her timid personality and combat hesitation unsuitable for leadership, resulting in her disinheritance in favor of her younger sister Hanabi and transfer to Kurenai Yuhi's care. A pivotal childhood encounter saw bullies target her Byakugan eyes. Naruto Uzumaki intervened despite being outnumbered. Though defeated, his resilience inspired her lifelong admiration for him and his "never give up" philosophy; he gifted her his damaged scarf.

As a genin on Team 8 with Kiba Inuzuka and Shino Aburame, she struggled with self-doubt and over-relied on teammates. Kurenai focused on her successes, Kiba offered protection and light teasing, while Shino expressed quiet confidence. Her primary motivation remained emulating Naruto's determination to grow stronger and prove herself. During the Chunin Exams preliminaries, she faced her cousin Neji. Ridiculed for her weakness and belief in fate, Naruto's encouragement spurred her to fight back despite repeated knockdowns. Though defeated, she declared "never going back on one's word" as her ninja way too, publicly committing to Naruto's ideals. This defiance began altering her father and clan's perception.

Promoted to chunin in Part II, she remained extremely shy around Naruto, fainting upon their reunion. Her loyalty faced its ultimate test during Pain's assault on Konoha. Witnessing Naruto's peril, she intervened alone, confessing her love while acknowledging her likely death. She stated Naruto's influence helped her find the correct path and declared her willingness to die protecting him. Pain critically injured her, triggering Naruto's six-tailed transformation. Sakura Haruno's medical treatment saved her life. Serving in the Second Division during the Fourth Shinobi War alongside Neji, she witnessed his sacrifice for her and Naruto. When Naruto plunged into despair, Hinata confronted him, slapping him and reiterating that "never giving up" was her ninja way too. She reminded him their comrades shared his vow to protect others, urging him to stand with her, helping him regain resolve.

Years after the war, in *The Last: Naruto the Movie*, she embarked on a mission to rescue Hanabi, kidnapped by Toneri Otsutsuki. Toneri, infatuated with her, demanded marriage in exchange for Hanabi's life. Prioritizing her sister's safety, Hinata reluctantly agreed, setting aside her feelings for Naruto. She knitted a red scarf for Naruto, mirroring his childhood gesture. Naruto pursued her, leading to mutual confessions of love and their defeat of Toneri. They married shortly after.

Later, as Hinata Uzumaki, she became a homemaker, supporting Naruto's role as Seventh Hokage and raising their children Boruto and Himawari. She adopted Kawaki into their family. Loving and supportive, she grew assertively strict, readily disciplining misconduct. She understood Boruto's need to prove himself independently, reflecting her own journey. Her hairstyle evolved into a practical shoulder-length bob, and her clothing into simpler, comfortable attire like light purple jackets and shorts.

Across all media, including the "Konoha Sports Festival" OVA (*Hidden Leaf Village Grand Sports Festival!*), she participates in village events alongside peers. Alternate retellings like *Road to Ninja: Naruto the Movie* depicted a genjutsu world version who was more aggressive and possessive, obsessed with Naruto. Her abilities center on the Hyuga clan's Byakugan, granting near-360-degree vision and chakra point sight, and the Gentle Fist fighting style. She developed original jutsu like "Protection of the Eight Trigrams Sixty-Four Palms," creating chakra blades for simultaneous offense and defense.
