Medicham appears as a member of Team Meanies alongside Gengar and Ekans in Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Red Rescue Team and Blue Rescue Team. Team Meanies, characterized by competitive and initially antagonistic behavior toward other rescue teams, deliberately empties the Kecleon Brothers' store during a mission to locate Pichu's brother Pikachu in Sinister Cave. They then steal berries from Team Go-Getters by having Ekans consume them, showcasing underhanded tactics. When Pichu attempts to follow them, Gengar manipulates the young Pokémon into a tunnel and traps him there using Confusion, an action in which Medicham is complicit. Subsequently, Team Meanies is decisively defeated by the rampaging Skarmory holding Pikachu captive and left weakened. Team Go-Getters discovers them and shares their last Oran Berry, splitting it three ways. Gengar initially refuses, but Medicham accepts the restorative berry.

In later appearances within the Pokémon Mystery Dungeon series, specifically Explorers of Time, Darkness, and Sky, Medicham serves as a member of Team Charm alongside Lopunny and Gardevoir, marking a significant shift from her earlier affiliation. Team Charm is portrayed as a competent and experienced rescue team. As part of Team Charm, Medicham shares a history with Wigglytuff and collaborates with the player's team to explore Aegis Cave and defeat the Legendary Pokémon Regigigas. The Explorers of Sky installment further features Team Charm in a dedicated Special Episode titled "Here Comes Team Charm!", reinforcing Medicham's established presence as a skilled member.
