Wavern is a wyvern-like Bakugan and one of the White Ones. Though lacking a traditional Attribute, she exhibits abilities similar to Haos Bakugan. She is the twin sister of Naga, a primary antagonist in the first season. Wavern stands as a central figure due to her protective role over the Infinity Core, the positive energy source of Vestroia, contrasting with her brother's possession of the negative Silent Core. Her background involves an incident where Naga fused with the Silent Core, causing a dimensional imbalance that sent the Infinity Core hurtling toward her. The collision merged her with the Core, granting immense power but burdening her with its protection. This event propelled her to Earth, where she formed a partnership with Joe Brown. She healed Joe of a terminal illness using the Infinity Core's power, becoming his Guardian Bakugan and enabling him to defeat Masquerade. Wavern shares a deep bond with Drago, whom she affectionately calls "Dragoruny" in the English dub (or by his true name, Salamander, in the Japanese version). Their relationship began when Drago encountered her and Naga during interdimensional travels, evolving into a romantic connection confirmed during interactions with other characters. In the first season's climax, she battled Naga but was overpowered. To prevent her brother from seizing the Infinity Core, she requested Drago destroy her. Before her death, she transferred the Infinity Core to Drago, enabling his evolution into Infinity Dragonoid and ensuring Naga's defeat. Her sacrifice allowed her spirit to merge with the Perfect Core of New Vestroia, becoming its guardian and Drago's spiritual advisor. Following her physical demise, she reappeared as a spirit. In *New Vestroia*, she encouraged Drago during critical battles, such as when he faced the Bakugan Termination System, aiding his evolution into Helix Dragonoid by bolstering his resolve. During *Mechtanium Surge*, she guided Drago and Dan through visions, assisting them in confronting entities like Mag Mel and Razenoid, whom she sensed were familiar adversaries. She also demonstrated the ability to roam Earth freely in her spiritual form, likely due to her connection to the Perfect Core. Her abilities, tied to the Infinity Core, included: - **Spirit Eye Flash** (or God Eye Flash): Reversing Gate Card effects. - **Big Bang Blaze**: Nullifying opponent cards and reusing Ability Cards. - **Shining Pyrus** (or Shining Nova/Shining Infinity): Offering three effects—nullifying Gate Cards, nullifying Ability Cards, or swapping G-Power with an opponent. Despite her classification as a typically powerless White One, the Infinity Core amplified her into an exceptionally powerful Bakugan. She never physically evolved like other Core-infused Bakugan, lacking visible changes such as a core on her chest. Her ball form resembled Ultimate Dragonoid's but without a golden horn.
