Description
Soldier Blue, the inaugural leader of the Mu and progenitor of the Type Blue psionics, earned his name as the first to manifest this formidable psychic ability. His powers emerged from a catastrophic laboratory accident, which amplified his psionic prowess while rendering his physical form chronically frail. As age exacerbates his declining health, he seeks a successor, identifying Jomy Marcus Shin for his dormant Type Blue potential and unyielding resolve.

Upon awakening Jomy’s abilities, Soldier Blue mentors him, entrusting leadership duties to safeguard the Mu’s future. His final act culminates in a self-sacrifice to obliterate the Megiddo cannon aimed at the Mu colony Nazca, channeling his residual psionic energy to overload the weapon’s core and perishing in the detonation. The original manga situates this event after 15 years of suspended animation, contrasting the anime’s condensed timeline.

His bond with Physis—a blind human woman he empowered with psionic abilities—elevates her as the Mu’s spiritual guide. Though not of Mu lineage, she is venerated as their goddess through his intervention. His legacy endures through Jomy and, in certain iterations, Tony, who assumes leadership.

The 2007 anime’s DVD epilogue subtly implies his reincarnated form reuniting with Jomy and Keith on a revitalized Earth. Conversely, the manga concludes with Terra’s annihilation, survivors fleeing as Physis stands amid the chaos, while two children—suggested reincarnations of Soldier Blue and Physis—encounter each other on the desolate planet. These contrasting conclusions underscore his indelible influence on the Mu’s quest for survival and unity.
