Description
Kagero no Shiva stands as a Saint Beast candidate chosen by Zeus, vying for one of Heaven's six highest angelic roles. He possesses dark purple hair, notably longer on the right side and fastened by a small silver ornament. His attire consists of a maroon sleeveless qipao-style garment layered over a black long-sleeved shirt featuring white cuffs, bandages wrapped around his waist, black pants, and black boots.

Shiva's existence revolves around an all-consuming obsession with Judas, another Saint Beast candidate. This fixation dictates his actions, fueling a perception of Shin, the Genbu Shield bearer, as a rival blocking his path to Judas and breeding profound resentment and hostility. He isolates himself from other angels, maintaining distance, yet accepts Pandora's presence due to Pandora's promise to unite him with Judas. His intense possessiveness manifests as yandere behavior.

His powers include exerting mind control over lower-ranking angels, a tool he uses to manipulate guardians like Natsuki, Hiro, and Rio. He also wields a duplication ability, enabling him to replicate another individual's appearance, voice, and emotional state for deceptive purposes, such as impersonating Ayumi to ambush Shin.

Within the narrative, Shiva aids Judas and Luca's schemes by acting as a spy, despite Judas explicitly rejecting his methods and forbidding such actions. His motivation stems solely from a craving for Judas's acknowledgment and exclusive attention. This jealousy escalates into two assassination attempts targeting Shin. The second attempt, where Shiva duplicated Ayumi's form, results in Judas killing Shiva to protect Shin, directly removing the threat to his chosen companion.

Shiva's background includes initial respect for Zeus as Heaven's creator, though his allegiance shifts following Judas's sealing. He obeys Zeus's order to target Takeru but holds no personal grudge against him. His interactions with other characters like Rey, Gai, Kira, and Maya remain minimal or neutral, marked by indifference unless they interfere with his obsession.

The character appears across multiple franchise installments: the 2003 TV series "Saint Beast: Seijuu Kourin Hen," the 2005 OVAs "Saint Beast: Ikusen no Hiru to Yoru Hen," and the 2007 TV series "Saint Beast: Kouin Jojishi Tenshi Tan," consistently serving as an antagonist driven by his fixation on Judas.
