Description
Miike-nyanko is a calico cat sharing a traditional Japanese home, complete with a tokonoma alcove, with Shiba-wanko, a diligent and gentle Shiba-inu dog. Possessing a temperamental streak, Miike-nyanko proves less adept at household chores than Shiba-wanko, who reliably manages cleaning, laundry, and cooking. Alongside Shiba-wanko, the cat actively participates in learning and demonstrating diverse Japanese cultural traditions and seasonal customs. This includes mastering guest hospitality, New Year preparations, kimono etiquette, observing moon-viewing and hanami, shrine visits, proper chopstick usage, and joining festivals like Tanabata and Hina Matsuri. Miike-nyanko's engagement often highlights a playful or inconsistent approach, contrasting Shiba-wanko's earnest dedication. Together, they explore the concept of "Wa" (harmony) through their daily experiences across the seasons, with Miike-nyanko consistently serving as a foil to Shiba-wanko's disciplined nature.
