Description
Kanaka Ohno is a central character who becomes the fourth president of the university club known as the Society for the Study of Modern Visual Culture. Her background is somewhat unique, as she was raised in the United States from the third grade onward and graduated from an American high school before joining the Genshiken at the beginning of a fall term.
In terms of personality, Ohno presents a contrast. On most occasions, she is soft-spoken, polite, well-mannered, and can be easily embarrassed. She has a gentle and shy demeanor in everyday social interactions. However, this reserved nature disappears completely when the topic turns to her primary passion: cosplay. In this context, she becomes remarkably upfront, vocal, extremely competitive, and filled with enthusiastic energy. Her motivation for participating in the club is deeply tied to her hobbies. Beyond cosplay, she has a notable interest in yaoi, specifically stories involving muscular, middle-aged, and exceedingly bald men.
