TV-Series
Description
Detective Bob Copper, known as Heiji Goyouda in Japanese media, serves as an officer in the Satella Police force. His distinctive antenna functions as a siren, aiding investigations into anomalies involving Z-waves and EM wave phenomena.
In the first game, he questions Geo Stelar about unusual Z-wave activity near his home. Later, investigating the Wave World, he collapses when Geo and Omega-Xis seize control of a baseball-pitching machine, resulting in a lasting aversion to baseballs. While unconscious, they access his Transer device, discovering he considers Geo a primary suspect in Z-wave incidents. To protect Mega Man's identity, they delete all related evidence and research. Despite this, he continues to suspect Geo and later intervenes to save both Geo and Aaron Boreal from a giant Z-wave ball at AMAKEN that threatened to convert them into EM waves.
During the second game, he investigates unexplained global EM wave surges preceding attacks by UMAs (Unidentified Mystery Animals). His involvement includes apprehending criminals like Rich Dotcom and another individual during a personal investigation.
By the third game, he appears on Alohaha's beach, having uncovered Geo Stelar's secret identity as Mega Man. His wizard companion notes his efficient investigative style leaves little work. In the Japanese version, he facilitates access to the third Brother slot in the Secret Satellite Server’s Battle Card Database after players unlock the first two.
In the anime adaptation, he relentlessly pursues Mega Man's true identity, becoming increasingly dependent on the hero as he acknowledges his inability to combat FM-ians alone. In the Japanese version, he frequently exclaims "Goyoda!" during EM virus pursuits. His role expands in *Shooting Star Rockman Tribe*, where he demonstrates Tom Dubius's experimental technology and participates in events like arresting Dr. Vega on the Mu Continent after Mega Man defeats Hollow.
His investigations often involve comedic missteps during suspect apprehension attempts, though his persistence remains unwavering.
