Description
Vanessa Ibert, designated agent 009-3, serves as a cyborg operative within the Nine Number Group, a specialized unit of the Western Bloc's Zero Zero Organization. Her privileged life and planned career as a pianist ended abruptly with her family's death due to terrorism, leading directly to her recruitment into the Zero Zero Organization under circumstances similar to agent Mylene Hoffman.

Specializing in reconnaissance, Vanessa's cybernetic enhancements focus on electronic analysis. Her modified visual and auditory systems provide long-range surveillance capabilities. Integrated cameras within her eyes capture and store real-time data directly into her brain's memory, with recorded intelligence downloadable externally via a connector port on the back of her neck.

Her operational history includes critical missions alongside agents Mylene Hoffman (009-1), Berta Kastner (009-4), and Mia Connery (009-7). An early, significant assignment involved infiltrating an Eastern Bloc stronghold to extract Russian defector Zond Soyuz, who possessed destabilizing energy source technology. During this mission, Vanessa engaged in combat against forces commanded by Eastern Bloc intelligence officers Ivan Godunov and Lyudmila Schindler. While the team successfully secured Soyuz's invention, preventing its use to sabotage a lunar disarmament summit, they were unable to save Soyuz himself.

Vanessa Ibert's conceptual design forms a deliberate homage to Francoise Arnoul (Cyborg 003) from Shotaro Ishinomori's earlier work, Cyborg 009. This connection encompasses both visual resemblance and shared thematic elements related to their espionage roles and technological functions.
