Specializing in reconnaissance, Vanessa's cybernetic enhancements focus on electronic analysis. Her modified visual and auditory systems provide long-range surveillance capabilities. Integrated cameras within her eyes capture and store real-time data directly into her brain's memory, with recorded intelligence downloadable externally via a connector port on the back of her neck.

Her operational history includes critical missions alongside agents Mylene Hoffman (009-1), Berta Kastner (009-4), and Mia Connery (009-7). An early, significant assignment involved infiltrating an Eastern Bloc stronghold to extract Russian defector Zond Soyuz, who possessed destabilizing energy source technology. During this mission, Vanessa engaged in combat against forces commanded by Eastern Bloc intelligence officers Ivan Godunov and Lyudmila Schindler.
