Movie
Description
Généralissime X, alias Leader X or Sosai X, is an extraterrestrial entity from a civilization millions of light-years away who travels to Earth with the goal of conquest. As supreme leader of the terrorist organization Galactor, X creates the mutant Berg Katse to act as Galactor's primary enforcer and public face, while X remains hidden, orchestrating operations from the shadows.

X permeates global affairs through Galactor, manipulating political, economic, and environmental systems to destabilize human society for Earth's subjugation and resource exploitation. This is achieved by deploying giant mechanized monsters and militarized technology. X operates exclusively through proxies like Katse and other commanders, ensuring Galactor's actions align with its plans, rarely engaging directly.

The 1978 film *Gatchaman: The Movie* opens with X's arrival on Earth and Katse's creation, cementing X as the conflict's catalyst and depicting X as an unseen, omnipresent force directing Galactor's campaigns over decades. The 1994 OVA retains X as the alien intelligence controlling Galactor, visualized through advanced CGI as an abstract, floating entity, emphasizing its use of intermediaries. The 2013 live-action film reimagines X as part of an invading alien race equipping Galactor with energy-shield technology, maintaining X's offworld origins and control while minimizing physical presence in favor of lieutenants.

Sequels like *Gatchaman II* (1978) and *Gatchaman Fighter* (1979) continue X's storyline, depicting recurring efforts to regain power after setbacks, reinforcing X's persistence as an existential threat. Across iterations, Généralissime X embodies hidden manipulation and absolute authority, symbolizing systemic corruption and extraterrestrial menace, with its background as an interstellar invader and creator of mutants remaining constant despite variations in visual depiction and narrative emphasis.
