Description
Alien robotic entity Rom Stol is the son of Kirai Stol and younger brother of Guardi Stol. Kirai adopted Leina Stol after discovering her on planet Ursus. Rom trained under Kirai in Tenku Chushin Ken alongside companions Blue Jet and Rod Drill. Following Kirai's murder by Gyandlar invaders, Rom inherited the Wolf Sword Kenro, enabling him to summon and combine with the robotic entities Kenryu and Baikanfu for enhanced combat capabilities.
Initially operating solo to avenge his father, Rom eventually accepted Leina, Jet, Drill, and Triple Jim as travel companions. His journey involved confronting Gyandlar commanders and uncovering the mystery of the Hyribead energy source. Rom demonstrated tactical leadership defending Emerald City, coordinating Machine Robo forces and strategizing against long-term threats, acquiring weapons like the Blazer Cannon during these conflicts. Personal challenges included recovering suppressed memories revealing his brother Guardi as the brainwashed Gyandlar commander Garudi, and resisting psychological attacks from adversaries like Preacher.
After crossing a dimensional barrier, Rom and allies underwent biological transformation into human forms with fragmented memories. Separated from Leina, he appeared on Electronic Planet B-1 in "Leina Stol in Wolf Sword Legend II". Temporarily wielding his brother's sword Nagase, Rom fought sorcerer Velt Zaruk but was disarmed. Leina later returned the Wolf Sword Kenro, enabling the summoning of redesigned Kenryu and Baikanfu to defeat Zaruk.
In "Leina Stol in Wolf Sword Legend III", Rom traveled to war-torn Ursus with Leina and companions to confront dark magician Baltun. To save Leina from the resurrected Zaruk, Rom surrendered the Wolf Sword, resulting in his defeat and mortal injury. With his dying breath, he revealed Leina's adoption origin before his body dissipated into energy shielding her from lava. His spirit later guided Leina to reclaim the Wolf Sword and inspired her to rescue captured friends. Following Baltun's defeat, Rom's spirit appeared alongside Guardi's, signifying his enduring presence through the Wolf Symbol as Ursus regenerated.
