Description
Juurou Sakura, father of the protagonist, balances his roles as a painter and art lecturer at a municipal senior high school. His artistic career, split between teaching and organizing private exhibitions, remains modestly successful, with his works rarely finding buyers. Known for his easygoing yet clumsy nature, he harbors a fondness for pipe smoking and pickled radish—quirks that contrast his creative pursuits.

European heritage threads through his lineage via his grandfather, who married a French painter—a union hinted to have sparked his daughter’s latent psychic abilities. During childhood, Juurou endured wartime evacuation to Yamanashi Prefecture as a schoolchild, where peers bullied him for his father’s Western cultural ties.

He maintains ties with two siblings: Ichiro, an older brother settled in rural Japan, and a younger brother, Hyakuro. Juurou shares an unconventional bond with his daughter, who occasionally serves as a nude model for his paintings in exchange for higher allowances. He addresses her as "Mami-kō," affixing the suffix "kō" (a European noble title) as a mockingly formal epithet.

Available records lack further details on his presence or evolution in external media adaptations.
