Description
Ryōma holds a high-ranking position in the Fūma ninja clan, distinguished by formidable combat skills and leadership. He acts as Kojiro's tactical superior during the conflict against the rival Yasha clan, strictly adhering to the Fūma's traditions and operational codes, known as "Shinobi Law."

His background marks him as a dedicated warrior entrusted by the Fūma leader to protect Hakuo Academy alongside Kojiro. He wields the signature technique "Fūma Shikyoken" (Demon Wind Fist of the Four Symbols), demonstrating mastery of the clan's combat arts. Across the initial conflict, Ryōma engages in significant battles, including a notable duel against Musashi Asuka, a key warrior serving Seishikan Academy and the Yasha clan.

Interactions challenging his rigid adherence to duty drive character development. In expanded narratives, particularly the live-action adaptation, his relationship with Ranko Yagyu introduces internal conflict. Ranko's consistent kindness and concern gradually prompt him to confront his own humanity beneath the disciplined ninja exterior, subtly softening his interpretation of "Shinobi Law."

Following the initial ninja war, Ryōma participates in the larger-scale Sacred Sword War. Alongside Kojiro, Musashi Asuka (now an ally), and others like Sōshi Date and Sigma, he fights for the forces of Cosmo against the Chaos Warriors. This conflict, rooted in ancient cosmic cycles spanning millennia, positions him among key combatants wielding sacred swords capable of influencing the world's fate. His abilities are further highlighted through the display of "Psychic Soldier" powers alongside Musashi during this conflict.

In the final story arc, the Fūma Rebellion Chapter, Ryōma survives the previous wars but faces a new internal threat. A faction calling itself the "New Fūma Clan" (Shinsei Fūma clan) emerges, seeking to overthrow the traditional leadership and eliminate those loyal to the old ways, including Ryōma and Kojiro. This rebellion forces him into conflict against his own kind. Three months after the Sacred Sword War, both Ryōma and Kojiro are absent from the Fūma village when the internal coup begins.

Post-rebellion, he continues operating alongside Kojiro, remaining active within the clan structure and participating in ongoing missions and conflicts involving the Fūma.
