Hideyuki Hori is a veteran Japanese actor and voice actor born on March 23, 1954, in Setagaya, Tokyo. His real name is Hidemitsu Hori. He is affiliated with the talent management firm Aoni Production and has been active in the entertainment industry since 1979. He comes from a family of performers; his father was actor Yuji Hori, his mother was former Takarazuka Revue member Harumi Kai, and his older brother is fellow voice actor Yukitoshi Hori. Before focusing on voice acting, he began his career as a stage actor in 1977.
Hori is recognized as a prominent and versatile voice actor who was particularly prolific from the 1980s through the 1990s, frequently appearing in adaptations of Weekly Shonen Jump manga series alongside contemporaries Akira Kamiya and Hideyuki Tanaka.
