Description
Tetsuya Jin, a 17-year-old Aoba High School student, pilots the Beta Robo—the blue component of the combining Albegas robots. Orphaned young after a space station accident claimed his parents, he endured a harsh upbringing marked by bullying, forging a reserved, stoic demeanor that conceals a nihilistic worldview. His sole surviving relative, older sister Ritsuko, works as a physician on a remote island, their contact sparse due to her demanding career.

Trained in martial arts, Tetsuya gained notoriety for violently confronting tormentors, his quiet intensity deterring further challenges. As Beta Robo’s pilot, he employs electric chains and a Beta Sword with strategic precision, contrasting teammates’ impulsiveness through analytical command during battles against the Derinja Empire.

A clandestine interspecies romance with Julia, a Dellinger operative, becomes a pivotal arc. Her mission-related death leaves him scarred, fueling his resolve to protect Earth despite deepening his inner turmoil.

His chaotic dormitory, cluttered and detached from societal order, mirrors his internal nihilism. Yet beneath his aloofness lies steadfast loyalty to comrades and sporadic compassion, most evident during crises. Contrasting with Daisaku’s impulsiveness and Hotaru’s discipline, his grounded presence stabilizes the team.

Interactions with allies and foes gradually expose vulnerabilities beneath his guarded exterior, tracing a journey from emotional isolation to resilience. Though loss and sacrifice permeate his path, they solidify his commitment to humanity’s defense, anchoring the team’s resolve amid chaos.
