Description
Shun Hyuuga is a short-statured boy with tan hair and tan eyes, typically wearing a light orange hoodie, light gray pants, and gray shoes. His personality is determined and passionate, driven by a specific desire to avenge his B-Daman spirit after it was belittled by the Black Horse Trio. His background establishes him as a competitor focused on proving his worth as a B-Der.
He first appears during a training session, practicing knocking aluminum cans off crates while observed by Kodoh Kuraki. Kodoh, reminded of his own past by Shun's enthusiasm, offers assistance in developing a strategy to defeat Hitto Tamaga. Kodoh takes Shun to an abandoned warehouse for target practice with flying metal rings. After initial struggles, Kodoh provides Shun with a Power Long Barrel accessory, enhancing the power of his otherwise generic B-Daman. This upgrade enables Shun to successfully hit four flying rings in his third attempt.
Empowered by this new skill, Shun challenges the Black Horse Trio to a simultaneous Flying Target match. His victory surprises the trio, leading them to acknowledge his abilities and designate him as the opponent to face Hitto in the upcoming tournament.
Shun's battle record includes two losses: a flashback defeat against Ginzou during the Black Horse Tournament's Crash Tower Challenge, and a later loss to Hitto Tamaga in a match involving knocking floor tiles.
A trivia note compares Shun to Rudy Sumeragi from *B-Daman Crossfire*, citing their shared traits of brown hair, use of ordinary B-Daman, and above-average skills despite their standard equipment.
