Akiyo Kanada, now known professionally as Aki Kanada, is a Japanese voice actress born on August 18, 1983, in Aichi Prefecture. She began her career in 2004 after graduating from the Comprehensive Institute HUMAN ACADEMY Shibuya school, making her debut with a minor role in the television anime Aishiteruze Baby. Early in her career, she was credited under her birth name, Akiyo Kanada, before adopting the stage name Aki Kanada. As of 2018, she is affiliated with the talent agency Zynchro.

Kanada is known for her versatility, often portraying young boys and characters with a lower vocal register, which is classified as a contralto. Among her notable early roles under the name Akiyo Kanada is Gabu Samejima in the 2005 sports anime Idaten Jump, a rival and fellow mountain biker to the protagonist. In the same year, she also voiced Shun Hyuuga in the anime series Bakkyuu HIT! Crash Bedaman. Another significant early role was Ginga Hagane, the protagonist of the long-running Beyblade: Metal Fusion series and its sequels.

Throughout her career, Kanada has built an extensive filmography with numerous supporting and recurring roles across a wide variety of series. She has been a part of major franchises, voicing characters such as Nyatoran in Healin' Good♥PreCure, Krillin (as a child/mini version) in Dragon Ball DAIMA, and Prompto Argentum as a child in Brotherhood: Final Fantasy XV. She also provided the voice for Chibitalia, the child version of North Italy, in the popular web anime Hetalia: Axis Powers. Her work in the gaming world includes the role of織田信也 (Shinya Oda) in both the game and anime adaptation of Persona 5.

A notable recurring collaboration in her career is voicing the character Cony in the anime adaptations based on the LINE messaging app, including Line Town. Her work is characterized by a high volume of roles, demonstrating her consistent presence in the anime industry for two decades.
