Seventeen-year-old Ayamo Nakamura trains as a candidate pilot at Earth's Shimoji airbase comet defense force. As the eldest core trainee and daughter of a prominent politician, her upbringing fuels a highly driven, ambitious nature marked by a potent sense of duty. This sharply contrasts with peer Mikaze Honjou's initial laxity, provoking Ayamo's frequent frustration and direct confrontations, especially during morning routines. Despite clashes, an underlying friendship and mutual respect persist with Mikaze. Ayamo possesses fiery auburn hair, red eyes, and measurements of 84-59-85. Her personality is equally fiery, hot-headed, and intensely competitive. She approaches pilot training with exceptional seriousness, displaying relentless diligence and conscientiousness without complaint or rebellion, solely focused on becoming a Comet Blaster. Her superior physical conditioning is evident during strenuous exercises where she outlasts peers. Deeply rooted family values supersede even her career ambition; she would abandon her duties for her family's sake. Throughout critical missions, Ayamo actively investigates the disappearance of fellow pilot Karin Kikuhara alongside Mikaze and Shizuha Doi, uncovering a conspiracy involving mind-controlling alien "Star Seeds." This leads to infiltrating Orbital Station #7, regaining control, and assisting Karin piloting comet blaster spacecraft to intercept a giant Earth-threatening comet. In the final *Stratos 4 Advance Kanketsu-hen* OVA, Ayamo joins Mikaze, Shizuha, and Karin when summoned to pilot Stratos 4 craft against three giant meteors. Commander Robert Reynolds secures the craft despite prior confiscation. Ayamo participates in the coordinated destruction of the meteors, directly contributing to eliminating the extraterrestrial threat and safeguarding Earth. The pilots draw upon resources, friendships, allies, and willpower to "bring tomorrow to Earth." Post-mission glimpses suggest her continued integration into the team and society following the conflict's resolution.
