Description
Yuna Roma Seiran is the son of Unato Ema Seiran, Orb's Prime Minister after Uzumi Nara Athha. His influential Seiran family actively sought political advancement within the Orb Union, aligning with Earth Alliance interests and undermining Chief Representative Cagalli Yula Athha's authority, violating Orb's foundational neutrality.

An arranged marriage between Yuna and Cagalli, orchestrated by their fathers, aimed to consolidate the Seiran family's control. Yuna supported this union for the prestige and power it offered, displaying no genuine affection for Cagalli. He exhibited controlling behavior, forbidding her contact with Coordinators like her brother Kira Yamato and Athrun Zala, motivated by prejudice against Coordinators and a desire to eliminate obstacles to his influence over her.

After the "Break the World" incident, Yuna endorsed his father's decision to ally Orb with the Earth Alliance, fearing Atlantic Federation aggression. He manipulated Cagalli into accepting this alliance, contradicting Orb's ideals. Orb forces were consequently deployed to block the ZAFT vessel *Minerva* from re-entering Orb waters, leading to military confrontation.

Yuna became Orb's Supreme Commander after Kira Yamato intervened at the wedding ceremony, extracting Cagalli from Orb. During her absence, he sought stronger ties with the Earth Alliance. He commanded Orb naval fleets alongside Earth Alliance forces at the Battles of Dardanelles and Crete. At Dardanelles, Neo Roanoke pressured him to continue fighting despite Cagalli's battlefield appearance in the Strike Rouge demanding Orb's retreat. Fearing Earth Alliance retaliation, Yuna ordered Orb forces to fire upon her mobile suit, denying her identity. Kira Yamato intervened to protect her.

The Battle of Crete further demonstrated Yuna's military incompetence, resulting in significant Orb losses including the flagship *Takemikazuchi*. Captain Todaka urged him to abandon ship before its destruction; Yuna complied, leaving Todaka to perish.

After Gilbert Durandal exposed Logos, the Seiran family provided refuge for fugitive Lord Djibril. Yuna publicly denied sheltering Djibril, a claim dismissed by ZAFT and criticized by Captain Soga as an obvious lie. This led to ZAFT's invasion of Orb. As defenses crumbled and Cagalli returned, Yuna eagerly relinquished command to her. Cagalli immediately ordered his arrest for treason, an action met with approval and physical retaliation by resentful Orb officers. During interrogation, she confronted him about endangering Orb and demanded Djibril's location. Yuna claimed ignorance of Djibril's whereabouts after his disappearance from the Seiran residence. While attempting to flee custody, Yuna was crushed and killed by a falling ZGMF-2000 GOUF Ignited mobile suit.

His relationship with Cagalli remained adversarial, marked by manipulation and disregard for her authority. He despised Athrun Zala as both a Coordinator and a rival for Cagalli's influence. Interactions with Neo Roanoke revealed Yuna's cowardice; he prioritized appeasing the Earth Alliance captain over protecting Orb personnel or principles. His political and military actions consistently displayed impulsiveness, blame-shifting, and self-preservation, earning widespread contempt from Orb's military and citizens. His death prompted negligible mourning.
