Koutaro manages and owns Sakura Market, a small independent grocery store, stepping into the role after his father's death. He now fights to protect the market from a looming takeover orchestrated by the large supermarket corporation Kaneyu, specifically masterminded by his brother, Taiyo. Koutaro actively resists these efforts, defending both the family business and his stepsister, Natsumi, against the corporate threat.
