Description
Nanaho Kinjou is one of two vice presidents of Miyagami Private Academy's Best Student Council. She commands the Assault Squad, wielding a specialized yo-yo to maintain security and neutralize threats to the school. Her operations rely on close collaboration with the Covert Squad, which supplies vital intelligence.

Her personality presents a striking dichotomy. Externally, Nanaho projects a stern, tomboyish image defined by decisive action and a notoriously short temper, particularly when her authority is challenged or academy peace is disturbed. Yet beneath this tough exterior lies a contrasting secret: a deep fondness for girlish hobbies, especially her cherished collection of stuffed animals, highlighted by the beloved "Pilotto" teddy bear. Discovery of this passion sparks embarrassing rumors. She also harbors an intense, often comical fear of thunder, reacting with high-pitched squeals during storms.

As the seventh and youngest child of the Kinjou family – reflected in her name "Nanaho" ("nana" meaning seven) – the number seven frequently appears on her belongings, including her yo-yo and clothing. From childhood, she endured rigorous training dictated by her family's generational duty to protect the Jinguuji heir, Kanade, fostering deep-seated resentment towards her.

A pivotal shift occurred when Kanade consciously released Nanaho from this binding obligation. This act of liberation transformed their relationship. Freed from duty, Nanaho chose to remain by Kanade's side out of genuine loyalty, deep friendship, and a personal vow to protect Kanade while supporting her goal to reform the restrictive Jinguuji conglomerate. She declares herself someone Kanade is "just stuck with," marking her transition from resentful guardian to fiercely devoted partner acting on conviction.

Despite frequent clashes with fellow vice president Kuon Ginga (leader of the Covert Squad), Nanaho demonstrates underlying care for all council members. This is evident when she intervenes to protect Kuon from an attack prompted by questions about Kuon's initial council motives, acting from concern for both Kuon and Kanade. Her interactions with Rino Rando evolve from initial skepticism about Rino's talking puppet, Pucchan, to eventual acceptance and inclusion of Rino within her circle of protected friends.
