Description
Batt is a young thief who first met Kenshiro after imprisonment in Lin's village for stealing food. Choosing to follow Kenshiro for wasteland protection, he became Kenshiro's first companion. Originally part of an orphan family raised by adoptive mother Toyo, he left to ease her burden, vowing to return successful. His initial brashness, forged by the harsh post-apocalypse, matured through experiences alongside Kenshiro.

He demonstrated practical skills in gadget repair and driving a dune buggy for wasteland travel. His cunning often aided escapes from danger. He developed a protective, brotherly bond with Lin and deeply admired Kenshiro, witnessing significant battles. After a timeskip, he co-led the Hokuto Army with Lin against oppressors like Jakou's Imperial Army and later Tentei's forces.

His feelings for Lin evolved into romantic love. When Lin was kidnapped to the Land of Asura, he joined Kenshiro's rescue. After her rescue, Lin succumbed to Kaioh's Shikanhaku pressure point, causing her to love the first person she saw. Though willing to let her love Kenshiro, Kenshiro entrusted Lin to Batt, believing he could ensure her happiness. Batt and Lin became a couple, but guilt over her altered state led him to use his limited Hokuto Shinken knowledge to erase her memory.

When Kenshiro suffered amnesia after a thunderstorm, Batt facilitated their reunion while confronting vengeful enemy Bolge. Though Kenshiro and Lin regained memories, Bolge fatally wounded Batt. With his last strength, Batt killed Bolge to protect Lin, expressing a dying wish for Kenshiro and Lin to be together. Lin chose to return to Batt, whom Kenshiro then revived. They lived afterward as husband and wife.

In the "Shin Kyūseishu Densetsu" film series, specifically "Raoh Den Gekitō no Shō," Batt appears with Kenshiro's group during events involving Raoh's conflict with Kenshiro and the revelation of Yuria as the Last Nanto General, aligning with his role as a loyal companion.
