Nicolas Beaucaire

Description
Nicolas Beaucaire was a French actor primarily known for his extensive work in dubbing, providing the French voices for numerous characters in anime series and films. He trained in theater, dance, and song from a young age in France, before moving to New York at twenty to attend the Broadway Dance Center. Upon returning to France, he continued his training at the Cours Simon and the Studio Pygmalion, winning the first prize at the Cours Simon in 1997. While he maintained an active career in live-action French television and film, appearing in productions such as Plus belle la vie, Une famille formidable, and the film Qu'est-ce qu'on a fait au Bon Dieu?, dubbing became a significant part of his professional life.

Beaucaire became a familiar voice to French fans of Japanese animation, with many of his roles dating back to the early 2000s. He voiced the character Shaolan in the OVA series Tsubasa: Spring Thunder and Tsubasa Tokyo Revelations, which are part of the Tsubasa Chronicle franchise. His other notable anime roles included Eiri Kurahashi in the gothic OVA series Le Portrait de Petite Cossette, Grayarts in the adventure series Elemental Gelade, and the protagonist Sacha in the feature film Pokémon: Jirachi Wish Maker. He also lent his voice to characters in widely recognized series such as One Piece, Fullmetal Alchemist, Hunter x Hunter, Bleach, Nana, and Code Geass, as well as in video games like the Final Fantasy series. Nicolas Beaucaire passed away in August 2025 at the age of 52.
