Description
Jin Taejin founded Renewal Taekwondo and raised Jin Mori as his adoptive grandson. He commanded the elite RE Taekwondo Force, conducting espionage in North Korea until an ambush during a nuclear investigation mission left him the sole survivor. Confronting a primate-like guardian near Jin Mori's hibernating form, he defeated it in combat and received an infant Mori in an egg, whom he raised.
Renewal Taekwondo was crafted by Taejin to counter Northern ITF Taekwondo after South Korean defeats, integrating superhuman physicality with techniques like Baekdu knee strikes, Baeknok upward kicks, and Hoechook spinning kicks. Notable maneuvers include Ddang-geusgi for earthen shields and Homi-Geolyi joint locks. His original Sonic Punch and Kick shattered the sound barrier, unleashing air pressure attacks.
Taejin's superhuman strength shattered the arm of the god Odin and leveled mountains with kick shockwaves. His durability withstood god-level assaults, and his speed exceeded light. He self-amputated a poisoned arm mid-battle without hesitation, resisting mind control and disdaining borrowed powers (Charyeok), believing true strength flowed solely from martial discipline.
Stubborn yet fiercely loyal, he vowed to subordinate Park Il-Tae to merge Taekkyeon with Re-Taekwondo for future generations. He urged Jin Mori to forge friendships in Seoul, reflecting his protective nature. Rejecting divine gifts, he declined godhood as the God of Combat to pursue comparable power through human effort.
Captured by Nox and imprisoned in their colosseum, he scorned their offer to replace the slain God of Combat Natak. His capture resulted from his self-amputation to halt poison and a taboo against harming gods as a Charyeok user. Nox suffered heavy casualties apprehending him despite these handicaps.
After Ragnarök, Park Mujin assassinated Taejin, framing him as a global traitor for 17 years until Mujin's downfall. Posthumously exonerated, Taejin was honored as a hero and special human cultural asset. His legacy persists through Jin Mori and Renewal Taekwondo practitioners.
