Michael John Sorich is an American actor, voice actor, writer, and director with a career spanning over four decades in animation and live-action television. Born on March 23, 1958, in California, his work in voice acting began in the late 1980s with roles in the English dubs of seminal Japanese animated films such as Castle in the Sky and Akira. He is widely recognized for his extensive contributions to English-dubbed anime and his long-standing association with the Power Rangers franchise.
Sorich's voice is featured in a vast array of anime series, often portraying characters with distinctive and powerful presences. Some of his prominent roles include the arrogant spirit Dimple in Mob Psycho 100, the powerful curse Jogo in Jujutsu Kaisen, and the giant toad Gamabunta in the Naruto series. He also voiced the talking frog spirit Whisper in Yo-kai Watch, the eccentric Don Kanonji in Bleach, and the persistent examiner Tonpa in Hunter x Hunter (2011).
