At Mount Coronet's Spear Pillar, he utilizes artifacts known as the Red Chains to summon and control these deities, commanding them to unravel the existing reality.

Sinnoh's Champion Cynthia arrives to intervene but fails to halt the process. Cyrus's plan fractures as Giratina, a legendary Pokémon linked to antimatter, tears open a pool of darkness beneath Dialga and Palkia. Cyrus remains unmoved, ordering his captives to attack the intruder. Giratina retaliates, shattering the Red Chains and freeing the legendary duo. It then seizes Cyrus, dragging him into its own realm, the Distortion World.

Awakening within this realm, Cyrus finds a desolate expanse of drifting rock formations and dead trees, defying gravity. No other life stirs. Giratina watches silently. Cyrus surveys the environment and recognizes it as the perfect world he envisioned—one requiring no spirit. He addresses Giratina, questioning if it is content after thwarting his ambitions, and gradually understands this distorted reality fulfills his vision. A faint smile touches his face as he accepts this outcome.

Meanwhile, his lieutenant Saturn attempts radio contact from Team Galactic's headquarters. Cyrus transmits a final message, instructing Saturn not to look for him, followed by an otherworldly roar from Giratina. Saturn acknowledges the directive and ceases communication attempts. Cyrus remains within the Distortion World, embracing his eternal residence in what he deems the perfected existence.
