Movie
Description
The King of Enlad reigns as a wise and respected ruler over his kingdom, a minor character in the film. He governs Enlad, confronting widespread instability marked by disease outbreaks and disrupted natural balances signaled by events like dragons fighting. To manage his realm and its significant decisions, he relies on advisors, especially favoring the wizard Root.

His background centers on his relationship with his son, Prince Arren. In the film's opening, the King is murdered by Arren, stabbed in a palace corridor before the prince steals his sword and flees. This act remains largely unmotivated within the narrative. Later, the King appears in a nightmare haunting Arren, reflecting the prince's psychological turmoil. Despite committing patricide, Arren retained genuine love for his father, describing him as kind-hearted. The film attributes Arren's violent impulse to external manipulation by the sorcerer Lord Cob, who exploited the kingdom's weakening balance to influence the prince.
